What Did You Do During Your Christmas Vacation?
Teachers and staff members joined together with the Marine Corps Reserve TOYS FOR TOTS to help Sandy families provide gifts for their children. The staff members became elves and expert gift wrappers. For me, I walked away from this event with a very full heart and thankful that I could help the families to enjoy their holidays.
Calling Home to Locate Students
On November 8, staff members called all the families of LEH to locate our students to make sure that everyone is safe and to locate where they are living now. We talked to parents or we left messages for the parents to let them know that we care. Below are just some pictures of the staff members making those very important phone calls. We are hoping that all of our students will return into the classroom on Monday, November 12. Thank you PRIDE for supporting this event.
Super Storm Sandy – Brings out the best in us!
The LEHT School District personnel joined together on Thursday and Friday, November 1 and 2, 2012 to feed the community members. The school district is filled with people who will work tirelessly to help people in a time of need. Each of the days we made 800 breakfasts and 1,200 lunches for a total of 1,600 breakfasts and 2,400 lunches. The workers arrived in the Frog Pond Elementary School before 7:00 am and left at 3:30 pm with smiles, tired bodies and very warm hearts knowing that they made a difference in someone’s life today. Below are some of the pictures that were taken through-out the day.
